Dr. Chabaporn Wenzel is the visionary CEO and Founder of Setlight Consulting, bringing over two decades of world-class expertise in Customs and International Trade, Export Control and Sanctions, Regulatory Compliance, Indirect Taxes, International Project Management, and Corporate Strategy. With a distinguished career spanning 17 years in the global automotive industry, Dr. Wenzel has held senior leadership roles at BMW Group and Deloitte, where she successfully led critical functions across Customs & Taxes, Export Control & Sanctions, Legal and Government Affairs, Homologation & Licensing, and Import & Export Management. Her work has had a profound impact on the industry, shaping the regulatory and compliance landscape worldwide.


Her extensive international experience covers Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East, where she has driven strategic market access projects. Leveraging global trade frameworks, customs and tax regulations, and compliance standards, she has consistently enabled business model optimisation, safeguarded global trade compliance, and advanced operational excellence. By embracing modern IT solutions such as SAP GTS and MIC, Dr. Wenzel has streamlined organizational processes, enhanced efficiency, and set new benchmarks for compliance innovation. As a thought leader, she is widely recognized for her ability to bridge the gap between legal expertise, corporate strategy, and cutting-edge technology, helping businesses navigate complexity while unlocking sustainable growth.


Dr. Wenzel holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand, as well as a Master of Laws (LL.M.) and a Doctor of Laws (Dr. jur.) in International Trade Laws from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany.
